It’s finally official Higuain has completed his move from Napoli ssc to their Serie A rival Juventus in a 90m euros (£75.3m)move, This is the third most expensive transfer in the history of football and the most expensive ever in Italy. The 28th year old Argentinian striker joined Napoli from Real Madrid in 2013 for £34.5m, was linked with a move to the Italian champion since few weeks.
The £75.3m fee for Higuain is topped only by those paid by Real Madrid for Cristiano Ronaldo (£80m) and Gareth Bale (£85m). He becomes manager Massimiliano Allegri’s fifth signing of the summer following the acquisitions of Miralem Pjanic, Dani Alves, Medhi Benatia and Marko Pjaca.
